Crossing by the Cider Mill

Description

Walking down Maple Street as a horse-drawn cart passes a Model T. Exploring the laboratories of Thomas Edison. Hearing the faint sound of a whistle in the distance. The ambiance of Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan is unlike any other.

In this scene, Calumet & Hecla Mining Co. #3 “Torch Lake” passes the 1942-built Cider Mill. Built in 1873, it is the only surviving Mason Bogie locomotive in existence and the oldest regularly operating steam locomotive in North America.
