Reflection of Nickel Plate Road #765

Perhaps no steam locomotive has toured such as large a swath of North America as Nickel Plate Road #765. Since being brought back to life by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, the locomotive has traveled everywhere from New England, through the Appalachian Mountains, and well into the Midwest. The Roundhouse has covered a variety of its trips, including a Norfolk Southern mainline excursion and a cab ride on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

In 2011, the locomotive visited Rock Island, Illinois for Train Festival 2011. The event saw a number of visiting pieces of steam and diesel technology and was hosted on the Iowa Interstate Railroad. In this image, I was attending a night photo shoot event when I found a conveniently-located puddle..
