Santa Train along French Creek
Description
In railroading, when I think of home, I think of the Western New York & Pennsylvania Railroad. This short line operates a significant portion of the ex-Erie Railroad mainline in its namesake states using diesel locomotives dating back to the 1950s.
For the holidays, the railroad typically held the tradition of operating a Santa Train through the various communities they serve. For 2016, the train consisted of WNYP #430, ex-Pennsylvania Railroad lounge car Francis J. McGrath, and caboose #300. Here we see the train running on the branchline from Meadville to Oil City along French Creek.
